Our Primitive Brown salt glaze process enriches the pottery with characteristics of the firing. When rock salt is added to the kiln to create a durable glaze, many variations occur...a spot of heavier glaze, colors range from grays to browns and brown flashings when two pots "kiss". This add to the uniqueness of Maple City Pottery's hand-crafted salt-glazed stoneware. Made in the USA.
