Designs of diamonds are created in a tone-on-tone color scheme by raising yarn ends to make tufts of thick, plush pile. (These tufts are often called chenille – the French word for caterpillar.)

The throw is richly textured, giving it a soft, cozy hand-feel, and the overall white tones have a refreshing visual depth and textural interest with lots of shadows from the chenille and slubbed fabric. A design of large diamonds (8″W & 10″T) and smaller ones tucked inside are created by the tufts (raised yarn ends) as are the precisely-placed tufted circles within some large diamonds, adding more geometric style. Knotted fringes (4″L) dress up the short edges of the throw, finishing the look with more texture and a touch of whimsy.
